I bought the Canon Elph camera about a month ago and have taken it on three trips and shot maybe 350 pictures with it so far. I consider myself an amateur photographer, and am willing to spend time doing my homework. This camera was everything I had been searching for and more! And at an affordable price. Here are some good reasons why you should own one now:
1. I have found that the pictures come out perfect every time even though I don’t have the steadiest hand.
2. The camera uses regular or rechargeable batteries, which is nice since buying batteries is just too expensive. I am able to use rechargeable NIMH AA batteries, which last a really long time.
3. I find the picture quality to be very good. The colors are vivid, far exceeding any 35 mm or digital camera I have used in the past.
4. It has a lot of features I probably won’t use, I am basically a point and shoot photographer.
5. The advanced setting modes allow quite decent shots indoors with no flash, which in museums and many other locations is essential. I have no complaints about using the flash as the pictures come out great.
6. There are many manual settings suitable for any advanced photo taking. The provided software is very simple to use, as easy as plugging in the provided USB cable, and turning the camera on.
7. Finally, the camera is small enough to easily fit into a pocket.
The Canon Elph stills I have taken look great. It is a perfect travel/everyday camera. I’m especially thankful that I had it with me during a vacation in which I had so many opportunities to capture more artistic images. If you’re looking for a nice, small, easy to use and very sturdy camera, I would highly recommend this one. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants a great camera for the money.
