I bought the Canon Elph Digital Camera about a month ago and have taken it on three trips and shot maybe 350 pictures with it so far. I spent days reading reviews and testing products at stores, and finally decided on this camera. This camera was everything I had been searching for and more! And at an affordable price. 1. It is very user friendly, and the motion detection, face recognition, and image stabilization are amazing. The digital camera has a lot of memory at a real low price.
2. The camera uses regular or rechargeable batteries, which is nice since buying batteries is just too expensive. I am able to use rechargeable NIMH AA batteries, which last a really long time.
3. The quality of the photos it takes was great. It zooms out to an amazingly large size on my personal desktop computer, with crisp lines and distinct details.
4. It’s a PHD (push here dummy) camera if that’s what your looking for. You can use the camera right away; I was taking pictures with great ease.
5. If you must turn off the flash while indoors, your shots will still come out well-lit. The viewfinder is extremely helpful outdoors in the sun.
6. There are many manual settings suitable for any advanced photo taking. The provided software is very simple to use, as easy as plugging in the provided USB cable, and turning the camera on.
7. It has an optical view finder in addition to the display screen; not many cameras provide this any more unless you go high end. The main selling point for me was that the Canon Elph Digital Camera had an optical view finder.
The small size of the Canon Elph Digital Camera is mind-blowing and the functionality actually mirrors its beauty. When looking at performance vs. convenience and portability, I’ll take this Canon any day. Considering the very small size, it’s a great camera. I have never had issues with Canon. I have Canon office equipment as well and have been very satisfied with their performance. I will be using it a lot on my trips. I can guarantee I won’t be looking for a replacement camera any time soon. The Canon has been a real pleasant surprise at a great price. I would definitely buy it again!! I am sold on Canon. It does all that Canon says it does and makes taking pictures fun and easy, right out of the box!
